Parakh Madan is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Bollywood and television series. She is known for her appearance in daily soap operas like ‘Qurbaan Hua’ (2020-2021) and ‘Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet’ (2022-2023).

Parakh Madan was born on Friday, 2 September 1983 (age 40 years; as of 2023) in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. She grew up in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Parakh completed her class 12 at Delhi Public School in Ranchi in 2001 following which she moved to Delhi.
She pursued a four-year course in fashion designing and information technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) (2005) in New Delhi; she was awarded the Best Academic Student award at the institution. Parakh also holds a Bachelor of Computer Application degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

Her mother, Rita Bhalla Madan, is a former corporate communication employee of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), and her father, Gireesh Madan, was a retired DGM(CET) from the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL); Parakh lost her father in August 2017.
Parakh has a sister named Palkein Gupta.
Husband
Parakh Madan got married to Adhiraj Singh, who serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army, on 31 January 2010; their wedding took place in Delhi.
Relationships/Affairs
Parakh dated Adhiraj before marrying him in 2010. According to her, she had known Adiraj since childhood, and they were best friends. While talking about this, in an interview, Parakh revealed that they attended the same school and started dating when they were in the 7th grade.

Beauty Pageant
Parakh Madan has contested in many beauty pageants and modelled for various brands and magazines. In 2005, Parakh was featured as “hot stuff” in Mumbai Times City. She participated in the Ponds Femina Miss India contest in January 2006. She won the Streax Savvy Cover Girl contest, which was held in Mumbai, on 2 April 2006; she received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 as well.
Film
Parakh Madan debuted in Bollywood with the devotional film ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’ in 2006. She appeared as ‘Neha’ in the film.
In 2009, she played the role of ‘Rasika Singh’ in a romantic black comedy film titled ‘Dev.D.’ Parakh played the role of Preeti’s sister in the film ‘Kabir Singh’ in 2019.
Television
Madan made her television debut with the daily soap opera ‘Saathii Re’ (2006-2007) in which she appeared as Suman; the serial aired on Star Bharat.
In 2009, she appeared as ‘Krishna’ in the comedy-drama series ‘Burey Bhi Hum Bhale Bhi Hum,’ which aired on StarPlus. In the same year, she played the role of ‘Inspector Monica Mogre’ in Zee TV’s thriller series ‘Monica Mogre.’ From 2020 to 2021, Madan appeared as ‘Gazala Rahil Baig’ in the television series ‘Qurbaan Hua.’ The series aired on Zee TV.
Parakh once appeared in a rock star hunt show on Discovery Channel and won the show. She played the role of ‘Masoom Ahlawat’ in Zee TV’s series ‘Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet’ from 2022 to 2023. She appeared as ‘Renu Sinha’ in Sony Entertainment Television’s series ‘Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon’ in 2023.

Facts/Trivia
- Madan has a profound love for dancing since childhood. According to her, she started learning Kathak from the late dancer Manju Malkani at the age of 6. After learning from her for about 12 years, Madan moved to Delhi where she joined the renowned dancer and composer Birju Maharaj‘s institute ‘Kalashram’ in 2002-2003. She later gave many performances along with the veteran dancer. Parakh Madan talked about this, in an interview, and said,
My personal equation with Maharaj ji had evolved over the years of learning from him, spending time with him and just observing him. When I joined Kalashram in 2002-2003, he used to say that my dance style was very robotic and military like. It was only after 6-7 years of training under him did he finally say, “ab tumhare dance mein ras aa gaya hai.” And thereafter, whenever he would introduce me to anyone in a room, he would say, “ye meri bohot khaas hai.” And of course, every time that happened, I swelled with joy and pride.”
- In an interview, Mahesh Bareja, the principal of Delhi Public School, Ranchi, talked about Parakh and mentioned that she used to take part in many extra-curricular activities at school. He added that the faculty was initially unaware of the fact that she had earned fame in the television and modelling industries.

The hitchhikers fled when their car was stopped at a checkpoint.
- She once suffered from the Fever of Unknown Origin (FUO) due to which she took a break of about 2 years from work. After recovering, she made a comeback with the television series ‘Qurbaan Hua.’
- In 2009, Parakh Madan claimed that she did not receive her salary from August 2008 to January 2009 for the television series ‘Monica Mogre.’ Yash Patnaik, the producer of the show later addressed the matter and mentioned that the show was initially supposed to air on Zee Next in July 2008 but got postponed. In November 2008, Zee Next closed down, and the series was rescheduled for Zee. Yash stated that the channel and he agreed that Parakh would receive a monthly salary until the show aired in September 2008, but she didn’t sign the contract and disappeared. Yash mentioned a loss of about Rs. 5 lakh due to Parakh’s actions.
- In an interview, Parakh talked about her role as Suman in the television series ‘Saathii Re.’ She revealed that after winning the 2006 Streax Savvy Cover Girl contest, she received a call for an audition; however, the audition had to be postponed because she was diagnosed with chickenpox.
