National Kabaddi Championships

After completing his formal education, Guhan began practising Kabaddi professionally at the Navi Mumbai Sports Association in Vashi. He then began participating in many inter-college, district, and national-level kabaddi championships organized in Tamil Nadu.

In September 2023, R Guhan participated in the Chinnappampatti Salem Kabaddi championship and won a silver medal.

He also participates in the Khelo India Youth Games.

In 2023, R Guhan competed in the Tamil Nadu Sports University Rolling Trophy Kabaddi Championship and won.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL)

In 2022, R Guhan was picked up by the Bengal Warriors team in the Pro Kabaddi League for a sum of Rs. 8.5 lakhs.

In 2023, he participated in the Pro Kabaddi League championship and played for Bengal Warriors.
