RJ Naved is an Indian radio jockey and voice-over artist who is known for hosting shows for Radio Mirchi. He gained widespread recognition through the show ‘Mirchi Murga.’

Naved Khan was born in Bugrasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, where he grew up. He studied till class 6 at a government school in Bugrasi. He then moved to Delhi, where he pursued further studies. Javed holds a bachelor’s degree from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

Career
After graduating from Jamia Millia Islamia, he worked as a Customer Service Representative at Airtel. In 2000, he won Radio Mirchi’s RJ Hunt show after competing against about 30,000 participants. He has been working with Radio Mirchi ever since. His first show with Radio Mirchi was ‘Dr. Love.’ Naved went on to host shows like ‘Sunset Samosa’ and ‘Bumper to Bumper.’ He is best known for ‘Mirchi Murga,’ a show where he would make prank calls. Despite some backlash, ‘Mirchi Murga’ remains his most popular and acclaimed show.

Naved is skilled in executing pranks and creates various prank videos like ‘Lift Pranks’ and ‘Police Pranks,’ which he shares on social media platforms including his self-titled YouTube channel. Naved not only entertains audiences but also offers classes on communication skills and guidance on becoming a radio jockey.

Facts/Trivia
- During his school days in Delhi, he worked part-time installing curtain rods at homes in the evenings through which he earned Rs. 1200 per month.
- While working as a Customer Service Representative, he sometimes used to speak in a female voice to male customers, who often flirted with him.
- Naved once hosted a show for Radio Mirchi for about 2.5 years in which he used to review newly released films. He, however, had never watched any of them as he did not have enough money. He relied on his friends who had seen the films to provide him with the story details for his reviews.
- His hobbies include painting.
- In 2023, he appeared on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ during which he prank-called Archana Puran Singh‘s house help.
