Rohan Shrestha is an Indian photographer of Nepalese origin. For his professional life, Rohan jumps between Mumbai, India and New York, USA. The ace photographer has carved a niche for himself, and his photographs have appeared in many leading fashion magazines like L’officiel, Verve, Grazia, Filmfare, Cosmopolitan among others. Having also studied at the New York Film Academy, his creativity and contemporary style has landed him among the top photographers of the glamour world.

Rohan Shrestha stands tall at 5′ 11” and weighs around 75 kilos. His body is well- proportionated with 40″ chest, 32″ waist and 12″ biceps. He has dark brown eye colour and black coloured hair.

Rohan Shrestha was born on 6 March 1985 (33 Years) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, with his roots in Nepal. His father is already a well-known photographer, Rakesh Shrestha. His mother, Jean Rodrigues was an air hostess who died in the year 2009. His father is Hindu, and his mother was a Catholic.

As his father was a busy photographer, and his mother was an air hostess with Air India, they used to travel a lot, so Rohan grew up with his maternal grandparents.

After his mother’s death, his father got remarried to Pooja Shrestha, who has also worked as an air hostess. He has a brother from his father’s second marriage, Rihaan.

Rohan is believed to be in a relationship with the actress, Shraddha Kapoor.

Career

Rohan Shrestha did his schooling from Learners’ Academy, Mumbai. He graduated in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from H. R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and also earned a Degree Course in Filmmaking from New York Film Academy, New York, USA. Shrestha made his photography debut in the year 2009. Although he aspired to become a pilot or a scuba diver, destiny had other plans for Shrestha. Being raised in a family with a strong photography background, he was always passionate about photography, and after completing his schooling, he started working under his father and various other photographers. His father, Rakesh Shrestha, is an established and a well-known celebrity photographer, and has shot for more than 600 films.

He initiated his photography career as a Freelance Photographer in 2009 by opening a studio in Aaram Nagar in Versova, Mumbai, and has worked for magazine giants like- Vogue, GQ, L’Officiel, Harpers Bazaar, Verve, Cosmopolitan, Filmfare, FHM, Mans World, Femina, People, Hello!, etc.

His mother always wanted Rohan to do well in his life and career. Unfortunately, she died a day before Rohan’s first magazine cover was released.

If sources are to be believed, it is said that after the sudden death of his mother, his father left photography and Rohan himself became inclined towards spirituality.

Then in 2010, he had his first major photo shoot, for the actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Besides being a top-notch celebrity photographer, Rohan is also a certified ‘Scuba Diver.’

Philanthropy

Rohan Shrestha runs an NGO called ‘Humans of Tomorrow’ and has a dream to build an old age home.

After the April 2015 Nepal earthquake, he, along with his friends and a team of doctors, went to Kathmandu from Mumbai to help the victims.
