Sergio Andrade was born on November 26, 1955 in the port city of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz. He was born to Eduardo Andrade Ahedo and Justina Sánchez Márquez. He is the brother of the announcer and politician Eduardo Andrade Sánchez.
He completed his elementary education in Coatzacoalcos at the “Article 123” Primary School, which was run by Alemán’s widow Tomasa Valdés, for the first four years, and the Popotla Colony in Mexico City’s “Árbol de la Noche Triste” School for the final two.
He began one of the most productive stages of his musical life, becoming the most successful composer, musical arranger and producer in Mexico, in 1982.
