Shehnaz Kaur Gill is a 30-year-old actress who was born in Beas, Amritsar. She works in the Punjabi film industry. Gill is popular among her fans as Sana Gill and Shehnaz Sana. She was fascinated by acting since childhood; she has taken part in a number of modelling assignments as well.

She completed her B.Com from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab.

In 2015, she started her career as a model by appearing in a music video of the “Shiv Di Kitaab;” the song was sung by Gurvinder Brar. Since then there has been no looking back for Shehnaz.

She has also appeared in the music videos of Garry Sandhu’s “Yeah Baby,” Ravneet Singh’s “Lakh Laahnta,” and Guri’s “Yaari.” She gained stardom after appearing in the music video of the “Majhe Di Jatti” sung by Kanwar Chahal.

In 2019, she made her debut in the Punjabi film industry with the movie “Kala Shah Kala;” the movie also starred Sargun Mehta and Binnu Dhillon.

Sidharth Shukla

According to sources, Shehnaz Gill was once in a relationship with Indian actor and model Sidharth Shukla. Shehnaz became friends with her co-contestant Sidharth when they were in ‘Bigg Boss 13’ in 2019. The rumours of their affair started while they were in the Bigg Boss House. Even after the show was over, they were spotted together at various places. Later, there were rumours that they were in a live-in relationship. On 2 September 2021, Sidharth Shukla died of cardiac arrest in Mumbai. According to a leading Indian newspaper, Shehnaaz was with Sidharth in his last time. The newspaper article further read,

The actor, who passed away due to a heart attack on September 2, had complained of uneasiness hours before his death. The actor came home at around 9:30 pm after which he started feeling uneasy. His mother and Shehnaaz both were at home at that time. First they gave him nimbu paani and later ice cream to make him feel better, but it did not help him. Sidharth still complained of uneasiness and his mother and Shehnaaz asked him to take rest. Sidharth on the other hand could not sleep hence asked Shehnaaz to be with him and just pat his back. Around 1:30 am, Sidharth slept in Shehnaaz’ lap and the latter then slowly moved away. She too slept and around 7 am when she woke up, she saw Sidharth sleeping in the same position without any movement and when she tried to wake him up, he did not move. Shehnaaz panicked and rushed from 12th floor to 5th floor where his family lived. She informed Sidharth’s sister and they called their family doctor who on arrival informed that Sidharth was no more.”

Controversy

In 2019, she entered into a cold war with actress Himanshi Khurana. It all started with an interview in which Shehnaz was asked about the song which she disliked the most; to which Shehnaz said “I Like It,” sung by Himanshi. Himanshi got infuriated with Gill’s answer. Furthermore, Shehnaz even came live on Instagram and spoke bad about Khurana. In response to Shehnaz’s live video, Himanshi said that Shehnaz was in a relationship with many guys, which also included her (Khurana’s) brother. The actresses continued the war of words against each other.

The war of words reached another phase of the diss war when Shehnaz responded to Himanshi Khurana with the song “Bhudi Ghodi Laal Lagaam.”
