Career

Siddhant Kamble started skating when he was six years old. In an interview, his father revealed,

He started skating at the age of six, I always wanted to make him a cricketer but his mother once saw an advertisement regarding skating on the notice board of Paranjape Nursery School – Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and after that it was no looking back for my son. We are just happy to support his enthusiasm regarding sports.”

Siddhant trains under Coach Shripad Vijay Shinde, who received the Shiv Chhatrapati Award in 2016.

Siddhant attended the “Speedsters Skating Skool” in Pune, Maharashtra. Siddhant is a skilled long-distance speed skater. He discovered his love for skating in school and now represents Team India. In 2017, Siddhant participated in the Inline Speed Skating World Championship in Nanjing, China, and came in seventh at the 1000m race, which was the first time an Indian made it into the Top 10s. Siddhant won several National Championships and a bronze medal in the Asian Championship in 2018. He also took part in the 2021 Inline Speed Skating World Championships in Colombia. His excellent performance earned him the “Shiv Chhatrapati Award” in 2019. Siddhant Rahul Kamble, Anandkumar Velkumar, and Vikram Ingale (along with Aryanpal Singh Ghuman who did not participate) won the bronze medal in men’s speed skating 3000m relay at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. After winning the medal, Siddhant’s teammate Anandkumar said in an interview,

We had a series of trials this year and we stayed in Mohali for around two months to train. As a team, we have been training together for the last five months and we are thrilled with the result.”

Siddhant Rahul Kamble came seventh in the men’s 10000m speed skating final at the 19th Asian Games (2022 Asian Games) in September 2023 and clocked the timing of 15:57.944.
