Siddharth Kannan was born on Saturday, 31 March 1979 (age 44 years; as of 2023) in New Delhi, India. His zodiac sign is Aries. He hails from Bengaluru. He did his schooling at St. Francis’ College, Lucknow. He then attended SVKM’s Mithibai College of Arts, Mumbai.

On 2 February 2014, he got married to hospitality industry professional Neha Aggarwal. The couple had a arrange cum love marriage at the Covelong beach in Chennai as per the South Indian rituals.

Neha is also a partner at a Mumbai-based firm Pink Parrot Kids. The couple has two daughters named Saisha Kannan and Adhira Kannan.

Career

Radio Host/Anchor

In 1994, he started his career as a radio host with the Hindi radio show Campus Capers which was broadcasted on Times FM. He then hosted a few other radio shows like Thursday Night Take Off on Times FM (1995), Yamaha First on Times FM (1996), and Purab Paschim Masala on Radio Star (1997). In 1999, he started India’s first radio school ‘Wild on Air.’ He has hosted and produced a few Hindi radio shows for Emirates 2 FM in Dubai. He has also hosted and produced radio shows for Rediff Radio. For the radio channel 104.8 FM, he has hosted a few radio shows like Meow Starburst, Oye Talkies, Bollywood Khul Ke, and Ishq Khul Ke. In 2017, he started hosting the Bollywood Hat Ke show on London’s Lyca Radio.

Television Host

In 2006, he hosted his debut Hindi TV show ‘Santa and Banta Newz Unlimited’ along with the Indian rapper and singer Baba Sehgal. The show was aired on Zoom.

He has hosted a few other TV shows such as ‘Planet Bollywood’ (2008; Zoom), ‘See Taare Mastiii Mein’ (2010; Mastiii), ‘Ring Ka King’ (2012; Colors), ‘Star Sports Pro Kabaddi’ (2014; Star Sports), and ‘Super Fight League’ (2017; Sony ESPN).

He has also hosted various award shows like The IIFA Weekend Extravaganza, The Femina Miss India, Alt Balaji Indian Wiki Media Digital Awards, and Teachers Achievements Awards.

On 10 May 2017, he hosted the official red carpet host of the Justin Bieber show at DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.

Some of the other events hosted by Kannan are the YouTube Fanfest India Global Conference, the Aditya Birla Financial Services Privilege Club Gold Plus Convention in Udaipur, and the World’s Biggest Guestlist Festival at DY Patil Stadium.
