Criticised For Appearing in Gadar 2
In 2023, soon after the release of the trailer of the Hindi film Gadar 2, Simrat Kaur was criticised for appearing in the film as she had earlier worked in a few low-budget erotic films where she did some “explicit” scenes. A faction of the audience disapproved of her being cast in Gadar 2 particularly due to her bold and intimate scenes in the Telugu erotic thriller film Dirty Hari. However, the actress Ameesha Patel came in her support and requested the people to spread positivity instead of hate.
