Spruha Joshi was born on Friday, 13 October 1989 (age 30 years; as in 2020), in Mumbai. Her zodiac sign is Libra. She completed her schooling from Balmohan Vidyamandir, Dadar, Mumbai. Later, she joined Ramnarain Ruia College, Matunga, Mumbai to complete her graduation.

She was born in a Maharashtrian Brahmin family. Her father, Shirish Joshi, works at Trimax IT Infrastructure & Services Ltd, Mumbai. Her mother’s name is Shreeya Joshi. She has two siblings, an elder brother, Ajinkya Joshi and a younger sister, Kshipra Joshi who is a former Indian rhythmic gymnast.
In 2013, she got married to her long time boyfriend Varad Laghate. The couple had dated for almost five years before tieing the knot. The couple does not have any child.
Career
She was interested in acting, since her childhood.
She was a child artist in the 2004 film ‘Maybaap.’
While she was in college, she joined a theatre group ‘RUIA Natyavalay.’ She acted in many theatre plays like Lahanpan Dega Deva (2011), Never Mind (2012), Nandi Madhavi (2014), Samudra Nandini (2015), and Don’t Worry Be Happy (2015).
In 2008, she debuted in the Marathi TV serial ‘Agnihotra,’ in which she played the character of Uma Band. She appeared in many popular Marathi TV serials including Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta (2011), Unch Maaza Zoka (2012), Eka Lagnachi Teesri Goshta (2013), and Prem He (2017).
She hosted a few Marathi TV shows like ‘Kitchen Chi Superstar’ (2015) and ‘Sur Nava Dhays Nava’ (2019).
She is a poet and lyricist too. In 2014, she debuted as a lyricist with the title song of the Marathi film “Baavre Prem He.”
She penned down the lyrics of many other songs including “Kiti Sangaychay Mala” from Double Seat (2015), “Saad Hi Preetichi” from Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai 2 (2015), and “Saang Na” from Lost and Found (2016).
She is the author of the Marathi books ‘Chandanchura’ and ‘Lopamudra.’
In 2011, she acted in the Marathi film ‘Morya’ as a supporting actress. Later, she played the lead role in various Marathi films including A Paying Ghost (2015), Paisa Paisa (2016), Mala Kahich Problem Nahi (2017), Home Sweet Home (2018), and Vicky Velingkar (2019).
In 2019, she appeared in various TV commercials like Indeed, Wakefit, Jeevansathi.com, Rio Fusion Drink, and Maruti Suzuki.
She acted in various web-series including ‘The Office-India’ (2019) and ‘Rangbaaz Phirse’ (2019).
