Sreevathsav Chandrasekar


Sreevathsav Chandrasekar (also referred to as Srivastava Chandrasekhar) was an Indian model and actor who worked mainly in Tamil films.


Srivatsav Chandrasekar was born on Saturday, 20 May 1995 (age 25 years; at the time of death) in Chennai. His zodiac sign is Taurus. He did his secondary schooling at SKNS PMC Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Chennai, and he did his class 11 and class 12 at Bhaktavatsalam Vidyashram, Chennai. He pursued B.Sc. Visual Communications at DG Vaishnav College, Chennai, and in 2017, he did Master of Science in Electronic Media at Anna University, Chennai.

In 2016, he joined a theatre club Theatron at Anna University in Chennai. He worked in various theatre plays including ‘A Journey Into Malgud,’ ‘1/2,’ and ‘Baemaani.’

He played a supporting role in the Tamil film ‘Enai Noki Paayum Thota’ (2019) starring the popular Tamil actor Dhanush. Sreevathsav acted in the 2020 Tamil web-series ‘Valamai Tharayo.’ Sreevathsav had appeared in various TV commercials including Levista coffee.


On Wednesday, 3 February 2021, he committed suicide at his home in Perambur, Chennai. As per the sources, on the same day, he had told his family that he was going out for the shooting of an acting project, but there was no such shooting scheduled on that day. He went to his another home in Perambur, Chennai and committed suicide by hanging himself. Reportedly, he was suffering from psychological issues.
