Sujata Paul Maliah was born on 7 March in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Her zodiac sign is Pisces. She did her schooling from Convent of Jesus & Mary, Dehradun. She attended DAV College, Dehradun and completed MA in English literature. Later, she did MSc in Organic Chemistry from St. John’s College, Agra. In 1991, she completed B.Ed. Career
She started her career as a teacher at Welham Girls School, Dehradun.
In 2004, she started a natural products company, ‘Goldtouch Natural Products.’ In an interview, when she was asked about her natural products company, she said,
I was a teacher and had taught Sumant Pai way back in 1997-98 and thanks to social media we kept in touch. I was born and brought up here and have been a witness to our rivers getting chocked and mountains are becoming garbage heaps, Sumant knew about my passion and I came on board.” Initially, we did face some resistance from wholesalers, but now things are improving. We pay 12% GST on the product which I feel should be done away with and rightly so.”
In 2014, she appeared in the Hindi film, ‘Bachpan: The Girl.’ She has featured in a few TV commercials.
She joined the Congress party in 2020; as a political analyst. She has appeared in various news debate show as a guest.
