Suresh Nanda was born on Sunday, 1 June 1941 (age 78 years; as in 2019), in Karachi, British India (now in Pakistan). His zodiac sign is Gemini. He attended Sr. Columbus School in Delhi and then went on to continue with defence practices at the National Defence Academy. Mr Suresh Nanda joined the Indian armed forces following the footsteps of his father Admiral Sardarilal Mathradas Nanda.

Career
A former Lieutenant Commander of the Indian Navy, Suresh Nanda later created a business empire with interests in varied sectors including the hotel industry, software solutions and a host of other businesses.
He has been mostly recognized as the chairman of Claridges group of hotels, and exquisite luxury chain of hotels located at some prime locations. He has also built the Claridges Surajkund Hotel which is being managed by the Taj group. He is the first Indian hotelier to go international and set up a hotel in Dubai with Taj Group.
