Journalism
Syed started his journalism career as a journalist on the channels Channel 24 and City 42. He later joined the show 11th Hour With Waseem Badami which aired on YouTube. In 2010, he started working as a news anchor on the channel Express News, Lahore and worked there till 2014. In 2014, he joined Samaa TV as an anchor. He works as a current affairs anchor at Dawn, current affairs anchor and political journalist at Channel 24, and also a current affairs anchor at Samaa TV.

Syed attracted controversy in 2022 when he posted an audio clip on YouTube where a man alleged to be Imran Khan was having phone sex with a woman. Imran’s party said that the accusations against him were false and that the government used fake videos and audio to target their chief.
