Saban married Terry, on December 18, 1971. He earned a business bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in 1973. Don James was Saban’s coach at Kent State where he played defensive back. He and a flatmate chose to eat lunch before walking to the demonstration site on May 4, 1970, which allowed them to escape being involved in the Kent State shootings.
Nick Saban and his wife Terry have been married for over 54 years. They have two adopted children: Nicholas and Kristen. The Sabans are the co-founders of the foundation Nick’s Kids. This foundation has been used by the Sabans to help support children’s needs ever since Saban started head coaching.
