People are captivated by the celebrities’ lives. True crime is another popular topic. People enjoy reading about celebrity wrongdoing, and there’s a lot of money to be made in writing such books. While two separate phenomena don’t always elicit warm reactions (for example, consider the film Cowboys & Aliens), people adore listening to a fantastic celebrity criminal narrative. Take a look at Armie Hammer’s “cannibalism” comments, which were linked to the Wonder Valley deaths despite his status as a suspect.
When you have a celebrity trial on your hands, people are going to want to watch it in droves. The “better” it is for viewers at home, the shallower, dirtier, more violent, and dragged-through-the-gutter it is. Take the case of Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp, which has exploded into a full-fledged circus. You can’t go on social media without seeing parodies about some of the more sordid actions that took place during their relationship in every single newsfeed.
Furthermore, other well-known public figures, company executives, and actors have been mentioned in the case, such as Elon Musk and James Franco. And while the court hearings have become a hilarious sideshow with frequent blunders from Amber Heard’s legal team, serious issues lurk at the heart of the trial.
That argument is whether or not Amber Heard misled the public into believing that Johnny Depp had abused her, and then used the #MeToo movement to not only collect support for herself but also harm Depp’s career. TikTok: Starbucks Amber Johnny Tip-Jar Went Viral.
Starbucks has decided to take an IRL poll
However, once the trial began, many critics believe that the developments clearly demonstrate that while the two had a poisonous relationship, Depp was on the receiving end of more abuse than Amber. It looks like this Starbucks has decided to take an IRL poll themselves by putting their money where their mouths are by offering gratuities to reveal who they support; while you only need to spend a little time online to see how many people adore Johnny Depp.
In a now-viral video posted by TikToker Amy Eliza, who goes by the moniker Kingdomofamya, she displays a tip jar with two separate cups: one for supporters of Amber Heard and another for supporters of Johnny Depp. The “Team Johnny” cup is brimming with cash and change, while the Amber one appears to be completely empty.
The TikToker wrote, “If I had cash, I would have given more than just coins,” followed by the hashtags “#johnnydeppisinnocent #amberheardisaliar.”

There was a growing social media movement online that demanded #JusticeForJohnnyDepp before the trial even began, and prior to key details revealing numerous contradictions in Amber Heard’s allegations.
Johnny Depp’s legal troubles may have contributed to the studio removing him from Fantastic Beasts 2, but it appears Amber Heard is still in Aquaman 2. The trial has progressed far enough that it’s been rumored that the production company has reduced Amber’s on-screen time as much as feasible in the upcoming film and shrunk her on-camera presence.
Furthermore, many people are suggesting that Depp’s co-star in the film implicitly backs him following his conviction because he followed the actor on Instagram after it was revealed.
The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard case will come to a conclusion on May 19, 2022, as of this writing. Many think that Depp will win the defamation lawsuit, especially considering all of the mistakes made by Heard’s legal team, such as changing the article Depp was suing over and submitting the revised piece as evidence.
