Usha Kumara was born on Sunday, 2 April 1995 (age 28 years; as of 2023) in Hassan, Karnataka, India. Her full name is Natesh Kumara Usha Bannur (also known as B.N Usha or Usha Teju Kumar). Her zodiac sign is Aries. She received a bachelor’s degree and PGDCA from Alva’s College, Moodbidri, Karnataka, affiliated to Mangalore University. She participated in various weightlifting and powerlifting competitions at college, national and international levels.

Career

She competed as a powerlifter during her college days and participated in the Senior State Powerlifting Championship in 2014 in Moodbidri, Karnataka. In 2014, she took part in the Subrata Classic International Powerlifting Championship, held in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. She participated in the All India Inter-University Powerlifting Championship held at Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2017. In 2018, she started participating in weightlifting competitions. She participated in 33rd Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships held at Moodbidri, Mangalore, Karnataka from 21 January 2018 to 25 January 2018, in 34th Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships held at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh from 22 February 2019 to 28 February 2019, in 35th Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships held at Kolkata, West Bengal from 2 February 2020 to 8 February 2020, in 36th Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships held at Patiala, Punjab from 10 August 2021 to 12 August 2021, in IWLF Youth Junior And Senior National Weightlifting Championships held at Bhubaneswar, Odisha from 19 March 2022 to 31 March 2022, and in 36th National games held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from 28 September 2022 to 05 October 2022. She participated in Singapore Weightlifting International held from 25 February 2022 to 27 February 2022.
