Film
Vandana made her film debut with the Marathi film ‘Pasant Aahe Mulgi.’ Her notable movies include Pachhadlel (2004), Meerabai Not Out (2008), Samaantar (2009), and Andhali Koshimbir (2014).
Her role in the film ‘Family Katta’ (2016) as ‘Malati Sabnis’ was loved by the audience.
She appeared in the films ‘Karkhanisanchi Waari: Ashes on a road trip’ (2021) and ‘Baipan Bhaari Deva’ (2019).
Television
Vandana made her television debut with Zee TV’s show ‘x Zone’ in 1998. In 2008, she worked in Colors TV’s ‘Bandhan Saat Janamon Ka’ and played the role of ‘Kamini.’
She became a part of the Marathi television series ‘Sukhachya Sarini He Man Baware’ (2020) playing the role of Durga Tatwawadi.

Gupte has acted in 50 plays. She started her career in 1970 with the Marathi language all-women play ‘Padmashree Dhundiraj.’ This was followed by many plays such as ‘Madanbaadhaa,’ ‘Gaganbhedi,’ ‘Jhunja,’ ‘Char Diwas Premache,’ etc. Later, she appeared in a Hindi play named ‘Char Din Pyaar Ke.’ Her Marathi play ‘Haravlelya Pattyancha Banglaa’ gained a lot of applause from the audience.

- She won a Filmfare Award Marathi in the category of Best Actress Critics for her role ‘Malati Sabnis’ in the film ‘Family Katha’ (2006).
