Vikrant Massey was born on Friday, 3 April 1987 (age 36 years; as of 2023) in Mumbai. His zodiac sign is Aries.
He grew up in a nuclear family in a 1-BHK flat in Mumbai. He attended Mumbai’s St. Anthony’s High School and went to R. D. National College of Arts & Science to complete his graduation. He was inclined towards acting and dance from a very young age and used to do small skits in his school days. His school teachers further curated his desires to become an actor; as they identified his acting talent and thought that he would go far ahead in performing arts. While in college, Vikrant started working with Shiamak Davar as a choreographer. When Vikrant was 17-years-old, he received his first acting break. It so happened that once Vikrant visited ‘Out of the Blue’ restaurant in Pali Hill, Mumbai, for a Diwali dinner, where he was spotted by a person from the Star network who offered him a prime time TV show.

He was born to Jolly Massey, a Christian, and Aamna Massey, a Sikh. He has an elder brother, Mohsin Massey (aka Moeen Massey), who converted to Islam at the age of 17.

On 14 February 2022, he had a registered marriage with Sheetal Thakur, an actor and model. In November 2019, Vikrant got engaged to Sheetal Thakur after dating her for about 4 years. Confirming the news to an entertainment website, the actor said,
Yes, we had a very small private function. I would talk about marriage and everything but at the right time.”
On 18 February 2022, the couple tied the knot in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony in Himachal Pradesh.
On 7 February 2024, the couple was blessed with a baby boy, whom they later named Vardaan.
Career
Vikrant Massey started his career as a ballet dancer under Shiamak Davar. He appeared as a choreographer in Disney Channel’s musical comedy-drama “Dhoom Machaao Dhoom.” Next, he appeared as ‘Rajkumar Dharam’ in the television drama “Dharam Veer.”
Vikrant came into the spotlight by playing the role of ‘Shyam Madan Singh’ in Colors TV’s popular show Balika Vadhu. Subsequently, he appeared in TV shows like “Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo,” “Qubool Hai,” and “Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai.”
After doing television for around 5 years, Vikrant made his first foray into the world of cinema in 2013 by playing the crucial role of ‘Devdas Mukherjee’ in the Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha starrer “Lootera.” Since then, he has been experimenting with many unconventional roles like playing the shy ‘Shutu’ in “A Death in the Gunj,” a male chauvinist ‘Arshad’ in “Lipstick Under My Burkha,” and a suave ‘Rana’ in “Dil Dhadakne Do.”
In 2017, he featured in the web series “Rise” as ‘Shrey.’ Subsequently, he appeared in many web series’ like “Mirzapur,” “Broken But Beautiful,” “Made in Heaven,” and “Criminal Justice.”
He has also appeared in several short films including “Un Hazaaron Ke Naam,” “Best Girlfriend,” “35MM,” and “Detour.”
In addition to serials and films, Vikrant has also appeared in the TV commercials of many brands like “Zatak Deo,” “Cadbury,” “Nescafe,” “Khazana Jewels,” and “Samsung Galaxy.”

And if people can connect with that, and if you are able to convey the right message to people, that’s the biggest reward. Being socially and morally real, and adapting to the changing times, is very important.”
- Vikrant shared during an interview that a bride once ran away from her wedding and disturbed the shooting of his film just to meet him. He further added that when she was barred from meeting him she created a scene and left the sets of the film only when she was allowed to meet him.
