Vishal Bhardwaj is an Indian kabaddi player. He was one of the team members of the Indian Men’s Kabaddi team to win gold at the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China in 2023.

Vishal Bhardwaj aka Vishal Bhardwaj Dehlan was born on Wednesday, 1 January 1997 (age 27 years; as of 2023) in the village Dehlan, Una, Himachal Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Capricorn.

He did his schooling at Government Senior Secondary School Dehlan, Una. While he was in class 8, he started his training in kabaddi. He was then selected at the SAI Training Centre, Bilaspur. He went on to represent Himachal Pradesh at the Junior Nationals as a captain of the team. He performed well at the match, and he was then selected for the India camp. Later, he pursued a BA at Govt. Post Graduate College, Una.

Career
National
In 2020, he participated in the 67th Senior Nationals Kabaddi Championship. He has also played for teams of Himachal Pradesh, NWA (Narwal Academy), and AI (Air India). As of 2023, he has played more than 99 matches.
International
After playing in various national tournaments, he represented India in international championships. Some of the international tournaments in which he has played are Asian Kabaddi Championship 2022 and Asian Games 2022.

In 2016, he was selected by the Telugu Titans, a Pro Kabaddi League team for Rs 6.60 lakh. He was retained by Telugu Titans from season 4 to season 7.

In 2022, he was again acquired by Telugu Titans for Rs 30 lakh. He was the captain of the Telugu Titans for three seasons. He became vice-captain for the team Dabang Delhi K.C. in 2023.

- For his strong ankle hold in kabaddi, he is known as ‘Ankle-Assassin.’
- Vishal Bhardwaj also spelt as Vishal Bharadwaj initially played basketball in under 14 team from Himachal Pradesh’s team. However, he gradually started developing an interest in kabaddi. He started as a raider in kabaddi. Later, he became a defender in the left corner.
