While he was pursuing in graduation, he started working as a social activist. In 2018, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was then appointed as Youth Vice President of the Kashmir Displaced District. Later, he became the District Media Secretary for Anantnag.
In 2021, he quit the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined Janta Dal United as state secretary. Within a short span, he was appointed as a state general secretary at Janta Dal United. He joined politics to work for the welfare of Kashmiri citizens. He has been closely monitoring the problems of the people and working for their betterment.
