However, things started to fall apart in 2016, roughly two years after Carter launched several mixtapes. The release of Carter V was highly anticipated, but the musician quickly confirmed that it will not be released.

There’s no denying that fans were let down. The most shocking development was when Young Thug revealed that Carter 6 would be released by him, which speaks to the fact that he is now a billionaire. Lil Wayne responded quickly and attacked the rapper, proving once again how important their feud is.

In 2021, Young Thug appeared on Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM and shared his connection with Lil Wayne. He stated that everything that had happened in the past had been a misunderstanding, and they had at last come to terms with it. In a recent interview, Young Thug said they were in the studio working on an album. However, Lil Wayne has not addressed it yet.
